Terms of Use

By visiting or using Macon County Busted Mugshots, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service. These terms describe a private reference service, its limits, acceptable conduct, outside resources, and the law that governs the relationship.

Macon County Busted Mugshots is privately owned and is not affiliated with any government body, sheriff, jail, or corrections department. Neither this service nor its advertising partners offers FCRA-covered services. The service points to Macon County and North Carolina records resources; it is not a private-investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.

What This Service Provides

This is a private reference service. It stores no official custody or court records and cannot confirm custody, release a person, or file a government document. It points visitors toward the MCSO detention and public-information route, Franklin and Highlands police, the Macon clerk, North Carolina eCourts, NCDAC, and other public resources.

Information and outside search tools can change. The originating office remains the authority for a record, status, charge, photo, or disposition.

Acceptable Use Rules

Use the pages lawfully and with care. You agree not to:

  • break a law or violate another person's rights while using the service
  • stalk, harass, threaten, or target a person named in a public record
  • use information here to make decisions that are barred by the FCRA
  • attempt unauthorized entry into the service or its systems
  • run bots, scrapers, or automated collection against the pages
  • interfere with access for other visitors

FCRA Restriction

This service is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports, and neither it nor its ad partners provides screening services. You agree not to use material from this service or a linked tool for an FCRA-covered purpose, including:

  • hiring, firing, or other employment decisions
  • tenant or housing screening
  • creditworthiness decisions or insurance premiums
  • licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility
  • any other use regulated by the FCRA

Links Beyond This Service

Links may lead to MCSO, detention and court resources, police departments, NCDAC, BOP, ICE, news publishers, archives, and outside search services. Macon County Busted Mugshots does not control their content, privacy practices, availability, pricing, or data handling. Review the destination's own terms before using it. A link is not an endorsement.

No Warranties

All material is supplied “as is.” No warranty is made that it will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, free of error, or thorough. Partner results are controlled by the partner. Custody and public records change often, and nothing here is an official statement from a government agency.

  • accuracy, completeness, or current status
  • continuous availability
  • absence of bugs or security weaknesses
  • complete partner-search results

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Macon County Busted Mugshots is not liable for damages arising from access to or use of the service, its content, a linked resource, or a partner tool.

Your Indemnity Promise

You agree to defend and hold harmless the service and its owners, partners, and providers from claims, losses, costs, and legal fees arising from your use of the pages, your violation of these terms, or your unlawful conduct.

Ownership of Materials

Text, graphics, logos, layout, and code belong to Macon County Busted Mugshots or its content partners. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or republish them without written permission, except where the law allows it.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version takes effect when posted. Continued use after a change means the updated terms apply.

Access May End

Access to some or all of the service may be restricted, suspended, or blocked at any time and without notice, including when conduct threatens the service or other visitors.

North Carolina Law

These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Any dispute must be filed in a court located within North Carolina, subject to applicable jurisdiction rules.

If One Term Fails

If a court finds a provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected language will be limited only as much as needed to make it enforceable.
